Maybe none.

Anyway: Does anyone have an idea what I could do with an old (of course) Mac IIci?
The IIci can run System 7.6.1, has 20 Megs RAM and no harddisc (I'm getting a 2 Gig HD for 10 $). Is it possible to connect it via ethernet with my iBook running 10.2.4? I could get some used NUBUS Ethernet card, but is 7.6.1 capable of this?

I've got a couple of ancient Macs and I'd love to see at least one of them running again!

Yes you can run appletalk over a TCP/IP ethernet with 7.6.1
As for usage of a IIci. The only "current" application I can think of is Eudora and perhaps the code breaking (www.distributet.net) the latter at galcial speed. About 3 000 anayses per second compared so several million per second on current CPUs.

I am just hooking up an old UMAX SCSI scanner that does not work in 9 or X with a old computer, similar usage of the IIci could also be an option...

It can be a great dumb terminal for a Linux/Unix system.

That's a pretty sweet idea. I remember some games that I used to play that times.

I have also in mind that there is a site that's dedicated to those old games and they can be downloaded for free. A quick Google didn't find it, do you (or anybody) know that or a similar site?

Yes you can! I have a 6100 PPC @ 60MHz. Itīs full fledged (2 SCSI HDīs, Optical drive, 2nd level Cache, 72 MB RAM, OS 7.5.1) and serving as a file/backup server. I connect my Tibook via patch cable/Appletalk, no Probīs at all. I doubt if there are NUBUS cards with RJ45-connectors, normally these cards have AAUI-conīs. Youīll have to buy an adaptor (ebay, 5-10 bucks).

I thought also that there were no NUBUS cards with RJ-45, but there actually are.

Maybe I'll use it as a fileserver, too. But gaming classics on it would be also sweet.
