10.2.5 And Fan Noise

I currently own a Quicksilver 800 and recently upgraded to 10.2.5 I have noticed the fan noise is MUCH louder than before. It seems to be the power supply fan. It runs at a fast speed the moment the computer is turned on.
I NEVER had this with the previous version of OS X. Has any one else had this problem. Is there a remedy? Thanks

try resetting your PRAM restart while holding Command/Option/P/R wait till gong has chimmed 2 or 3 times then let go
