I've been burning some CD's and the CD's are skipping around track 9. I've done multiple discs with different songs...and the same thing happens.

I'm using toast
and the combo drive in the new powermac 1.42

anyone else experience this?

I haven't got toast on the machine I'm typing from, so can't check...

But, I'm sure there is an option to increase the 'buffer and cache' size in the preferences somewhere...

If they are not set to maximum or a very high figure, I've found that problems can occur on my combo drive...May be worth a look.

Peace,

Marc

Hmmm, how much RAM is in your system and how many other applications are you running while you're burning?

I've had this problem on a Wintel machine in which the programs running in the background ate too much of the system resources and the cache needed in burning a CD wasn't there, causing it to fail evertime.
