I 'inherited' a lime green iMac 400 Slot load DVD system. Amazingly it runs OS9.2 really good but it is a hideous color. I know that color won't hurt performance any but I would like to know if the cases can be swapped out with other colors. I kinda like the graphite or even plain white. Hey its an Apple - It needs to look cool!

Anyone have any pointers on whether you can change the case color? If so, would you point me to a site that sells the cases? I Googled it and am having no luck.

Thx,

Mark

you normally can find them on ebay, as far as how to do it, try an iMac Service Manual.

Manuals:

eBay iMac cases:
http://search.ebay.com/search/search...p;BasicSearch=

Cases go for around $20-$40

cases used to go for 60 bucks. I have a blueberry slot-loading case in perfect shape. email me if you're interested.

Lime green kicks ass

Why? It's the color of the fastest most modified 1st gen iMac on earth.
