Hi everyone,

If a computer already has OS X on it, does that mean it has the latest firmware reveision available on it?

Since our company is moving everyone to OS X, I want to make sure that all the Macs have the latest firmware applied. However, some of the firmware updaters are only available as OS 9 applications, and none of our Macs run Classic. Is there a way to update the firmware on an OS X machine that needs the update but the updater is only for OS 9? Or does one need to reinstall OS 9, update the firmware, and then reinstall OS X?

There are now two different versions of newly released firmware...

One for OS 9, one for OS X only.

I know the latest Firmware for the MDD machines has a OSX only version that is downlaodable form the Apple Support site...so no need to install classic!
