I've got a 700MHz G3 imac, 1GB RAM, OS 10.2.5. I've tried to burn audio cd's with toast and itunes, and a photo cd with iPhoto, and always get an error, and a bad CD, here's the message:

I can't seem to find out what this error code is so I can read up on it, can anyone help?

Are you running a bunch of apps/programs in the background while burning? Is there some other program(s) that are eating up your precious resources? I had this problem once on my Wintel machine, and it was because burning a CD requires setting aside a good chunk of RAM for reference so it can use buffer underrun protection and the like, and simply cutting down on the excess apps (escp. chat apps) in the background solved it. Good luck w/ it!

Hey, thanks for the reply. That's exactly what a guy on another forum told me, he even gave me an in-depth explanation. I tried to burn two more this morning with nothing running but apache, a few menu extras, and iTunes or Toast, and they were fine.

Good deal!! Yep, that's usually the explaination for failed burns when bad media is out of the question. Best of luck on your future burns!
