i was just on www.crucial.com and was checking the ram prices for my B&W G3 and i noticed the pc133 ram was cheaper than the pc100 ram. why is that? seeing how both are supposed to be able to work in my yosemite. i know the 256 i have in the yosemite right now is pc100 and if i got the pc133 i know it woudl only run at 100 so can i save some money and just get the pc133 ram?

I don't know wheather this applies in Macs, but there has been a recent (4 months) change in the production runs of PC 133 memory. They have doubled the density of the memory chips, and in PC66/100 systems these PC133 DIMMs do not work. This is because of a small change in the PC133 standard allowing for this. I do not know if Mac's memory controllers will allow for these denser DIMMs.
