Hey,

I've had my 933 G4 for around 7-8 months, and have never had a kernel panic. Well, last night I had four of them. Looking into the crash log, they are all reported as this:

Are you running 10.2.5? Do you run a USB hub?

If so, you may be a victim of the infamous 10.2.5 USB hub fault... Basically it is an issue with some 3rd party USB hubs, most often Belkin and the update...

Apple released a Kbase article about it here:

http:/docs.info.apple.com article.html?artnum=25440

There was also a 'fix' posted on the MaccNN front page last week Here:

http://www.macnn.com/news/19182

There is hopefully going to be an official fix soon as 10.2.6 has just been released to developer type people...

If you are not running 10.2.5... I don't have a clue, but it would from the log, it all appears to be USB related...

Peace,

Marc

Im running 10.2.3, no USB hubs, I have an EyeTV and a Brother HL 1440 printer in my two main usb ports, and then my apple keyboard attached to my LCD usb port. I'm suspecting it may be an EyeTV issue since that's the only thing I have upgraded recently.

Search for kpdecode on the macnn forums, then try running that. Post the results.

sorry for not knowing, but I never use the terminal. How do I actually run this program? If I try to open it in the terminal, it is greyed out...

If it's on the desktop, type this:

cd ~/Desktop

./kpdecode
