I currently own a Quicksilver 800. I recently installed the Pioneer AO5 SuperDrive. Sometimes when I am playing a music CD and want to eject the CD using the keyboard the CD does not eject. During the time that I am playing the CD the icon appears on the desktop. As soon as I press the eject key the icon disappears from the desktop and the CD will not eject no matter how many times I press the eject key. When I resart the computer the icon reappears and then I can eject the CD. What is wrong and is there a solution. Thanks

In your System Preferences, under Energy saver, make sure that "Put the hard disk to sleep when possible" is not checked...

The Pioneer drives have a tendancy to go to sleep with a disk in the drive and become completely non-responsive... so just don't let it go to sleep.

Thanks man! I have been having similar trouble with a dual 867... the 'fix' has worked a treat!
