Hey all,

Just wondering if anyone knows the speed of each ATA bus in a dual 800, or at least if the one the optical drive on is slower than the one the hd is on.

Thanks

ATA 66 for the main channel and ATA33 for the second channel that the optical drive is on. I have 2 HD's on the main (there is a 128GB limit on the old ATA 66 standard) and the superdrive on the 33 channel with a HD in the zip bay in my dual800. (some say the zip bay is bad for the HD but I haven't had any problem other than that the drive probably isn't able to run at top speed on the slower channel)

I've got a Dual 1.25GHz PowerPC G4 my main channel is Ultra ATA/100 and my second channel is Ultra ATA/66. There is also an ATA/33 which has the Optical drive on it.
