Ok so i would like to get a pci slot fan to help exhaust some heat there. i was thinking of trying to seperate the pci slots and graphics card from those power supply fans which to me suck up that areas hot air.
i was also thinking of removing or just move the internal speaker on my MDD so the hole could be used as a cool air inlet for the power supply.
Hopefully this will creat better flow through the case and keep my ati card much cooler when i'm playing wolfenstein with cranked up graphics. as of right now it will quit on me (I believe do to the heat) and i cant even touvh the heat sink. anyways to add onto the heat sink?

So whats the thought for what i want to do? everything should keep the mac in warranty as long as i can move the speaker back to its original place and remove dividers and such right?

And on a seperate note, anyone have the new fire wire 800 card? hows it working? i want to get one for my dual 1 gig 167mhz bus tower.
Thanks

It can work with some pretty good results, someone wrote into xlr8yourmac.com about this:

Check www.g4noise.com for info on how to test heat. You can get a digital thermometer for electronics at Radio Shack or something. Look around the site (I don't remember exactly where it was).
