I'm going to wait until tomorrow to see if it's really not working properly, but I spilled a cup of water all over my Apple Pro Keyboard that came with my iMac and now, after waiting awhile (and using a little hair dryer on it), the keyboard seems to work almost perfectly, except for the keys "c,d,e,3" (notice how they're kind of in a line?) . I think the bracket ] is not working, either.

What could be the cause of this? Could some water that's not evaporated yet be the problem, and just waiting some more fix it? I hope so.

If not, is there any easy way to fix something like this? If I pry the key caps off, would I be able to easily see if there's some water-associated problem at all?

Should I bring it in to my campus Apple repair place? I imagine they could figure out what's wrong.

Any other ideas? Thanks very much in advance

Last year I spilled a root beer into my Pro Keyboard. It sort of freaked out and stopped working that night... I called Applecare (didn't mention the soda) and got them to send me a new keyboard... but i gave the sticky old keyboard to an electrical engineer friend of mine and he took it apart, cleaned up all the sugar, and has been using it for months now with no problem... In my experience the Pro Keyboard is pretty resilient, but if keys stop working after even a few days with water, i'd say its done for... see if you can persuade Apple to send you a new keyboard .

Well, too bad, I guess your advice won't work... because my keyboard is working. Yay

But how'd you get them to send you a new one without sending the old one in? If so, I should just ask for a new one
