I posted a topic earlier about how I ran Norton Utilities and it ended in the death of my FireWire bus. This is the response I got from Symantec.
"I am sorry to hear that you have been having these issues. However, if the FireWire port on your tower is no longer functioning, there may be other factors at play as Norton Utilities does not affect hardware. When you turned on the other volume this may have had an adverse affect on the FireWire bus. I would recommend that you take your G4 to your local dealer to have it checked.'
I know it's not supposed to affect my hardware, but it has.
Has any one else had Norton Utils, more specificaly Disk Docter, do any damage?
