I have a new IMAC 17inc 1GHZ. Screen resoluion was defaulted at the 1440 x 900. It is a little small but the next size is 1152 x 720 which is to big. Is there anythig between or a fix to help? Hope my question is clear. Thanks!

1440x900 is the native resolution of your screen. Running at lower resolutions than the native on an LCD makes everything a little bit blurry. If possible I'd stay at 1440x900.

If your problem is that you can't read text at 1440x900, just enlarge the text. Often, you can accomplish this by holding down the <Command> key (the one with the apple on it next to the space bar) and then pressing the <=> key. If the text becomes too big, press <Command> and <-> and the text will get smaller.

I do this all the time when reading MacNN Forums. Hope this helps!

In many text/word processing applications it's possible to zoom in on the text. Web browsers have settings for a default fonts, (including size), some also have settings for a minimum font.

What programs are you having a difficulty with?

Thanks for the advice. How do you resolve the small font problem in other programs.
