With it taking up the agp and one pci slot to make room for that big fan, apple would have to revamp the motherboard; otherwise buyers would have to settle for 2 pci slots. Not to mention looking at pictures of the card, that thing is huge.
I'll stick with the ati cards. It reminds me of the 3DFX Voodoo 5000 card with the power connector and the width making a tight fit in a pc case...

OMG!!! NO PLEASE DON'T!!! The GeForce 5900 is the biggest single piece of crap on earth... how can they do that?

Actually, the 5 800 was the biggest piece of crap on Earth. The 5900 (first revision of the GFFX series) is about the same speed as the Radeon 9800 Pro (slower with AA/AF), but it still takes up more space than just the AGP slot. Read the reviews on www.anandtech.com .
I'm still wondering what ATI will name their next card... I think they should go simple and call it "Radeon II."

Be happy.

Let's not forget about that "dustbuster" fan on the card as well...

I can see it now, MDD g4 with the original delta fan and the 5900 "dust blower." I bet you could hear it from across the street.

Don't get me wrong, I love my MDD. I have the dual gig proc version and I wouldn't give it up (except maybe for the dual 1.42 version). I was just making a "what if" comment.

Still that "what if" comment was pretty funny and don't worry, I'm not taking that serious.
