I heard a little while back that Apple was talking with Intel about possibly using their processors. If this is true apple would have to change their OS to work under the new processor and hardware. Has anyone heard something like this or knows anything along the same subject?

Now now...
Anyway, looking at one of the links in an above posting, this probably belongs in the OS X forum. But I'll throw my 2 cents in and say that supposibly there's a X86 version of OS X that is kept in sync with the PPC version. It probably won't be used, I think it's just a dealing tactic with Motorola as an exit strategy. But since they'll annouce the IBM 970 in a few weeks this version will stay in it's 'rumored' status.
