Saw on MacMinute that Wacom have made new platinum tablets. They presumably have some level of access to things at Apple.

Is it possible that they have been told "Think Platinum!" from Apple regarding the new machines.

After all the major market for tablets must surely be the design folks who in turn need the power-macs.

I know this is pretty thin but its a possibility that would fit with some of the other rumors...

What do you guys think?

Absolutely. It is also a well known fact that Apple had Litespeed design its Titanium road bikes to match the Titanium PowerBook G4.

A platinum case... wow... well that would certainly jack up the cost of the next power mac...
you could tell your wintel friends... yeah I paid 10 times as much for my low end power mac... but look at it it's SHINY and the case alone is worth 9 times the price of the innards!
