My new eMac arrived Saturday, and I am trying to move things from the old iMac to it so that my son can take the old iMac off to college.

How do I move my Outlook mailbox to the new machine? Anyone have any clue where those are stored?

Any other advice on files that I need to move before the old iMac takes off??? Any help accepted!

Thanks.

My advice is transfer any of the files you want on the new eMac using a ethernet crossover cable. The cables are cheap ($5.00) and work quick to transfer information. Just plug the cable into the ethernet port on each machine and configure and connect the systems together via appletalk.

On the other hand if you only have a few files to move around and the imac has a CD-RW drive you can put the files you need on disk and transfer them to the eMac. A standard CDR or if you wish CD-RW works well.
I believe that Outlook tells you where the files are stored any might even have an export or transfer files, though I'm not sure.

As far as transfering other files, anything you want on the new machine, from addresses, internet bookmarks, mp3's, word files, etc...
