Are there any DVD's that the old G4 450 DVD-ROM cant read. I have a DVD burned from a newer silver G4 and the 450 just spits it back out.

G4 450 OS9.2

ummm...hmmmm...i would say...THAT ONE? yeah, the G4 DVD-ROM can't read that DVD.

come on, no one can tell you out of ALL the DVD's out there, which DVD's can't be read on the stock drive. i mean, there were even a couple different DVD-ROM drive models that apple put in the sawtooths. it could also be the media you used.

surely out of the hundreds of thousands of g4 450 owners out there there must be someone who has come across a similar problem and can point me in the right direction. didnt know if maybe it was a firmware issue or a media issue ... not really my mac so cant really provide much more info
