Is there anyway to play a 17" iMac's DVD onto a TV that is close by?
Thanks
Robb

I would imagine you could use video mirroring and that cable with your iMac to mirror the DVD playing off of it...

You can get a video output cable for your iMac. But it's a heck of a lot easier to play DVDs on a standalone DVD player.

Also, standalone DVD players are somewhat tolerant of discs with read errors (you get some garbling on the screen, but it'll continue to play). On a Mac or PC, when there's a read error, the DVD player will quit.
