I have a beige G3 266mhz machine and Im looking for an upgrade. I dont use graphic intensive programs but I want it to be able to play large file formats on Quicktime like the Matrix reloaded trailer.Also have Jaguar faster as well. those are my two main concerns. Does anybody have any experience with these two processors and which one is faster overall. Thanks

G3 800.

It outperforms a 550 G4 in alomst all tests.
