Just switched to a mac and found that the start up button at the front panel is damn hard to press. Need to exert some force before it starts up. Isnt is supposed to be a spring loaded mechanism? Or is it a touch sensitive button? Model of powermac is the latest 1.25ghz dual processor. Any other users experiencing the same thing?

Glad to hear that we have something in common. I thought it was some manufacturer's fault. How about the noise level of your g4? You constantly hear some noise coming out from somewhere behind? Does it come from the powersupply or the heat sink fan that cools the processor?

The very latest gen of powermacs have pretty ornery power buttons in my experience. We have all 3 of the latest lineup at work, and all three have hard-to-press buttons. My dual gig of the previous gen at home, however does not have this issue. It's not really a problem if you have an Apple display, but it sucks if you have something else, especially if you need to force-shutdown.

I dont have a problem with noise on my G4, but then i only have the single 1 ghz model. I just have problems with 10.2.6 crashing quiet often, other than that everything is great... for now....
