Anyone else having this problem?
It is not a setup thing because it works on all my other computers.

The problem has been there as long as I can remember (years), now running 10.2.6 and FaxStf 10.1.2. I could buy an internal modem on eBay, would it make a difference?

By the way I know a lot of people like to bash FaxStf but the latest upgrade brings things up a LOT, 95% of what the programm should be (from 50% ).

The modem on my cube doesn't sound off either. The modem works great, though. I figured it was just part of the "silence" of the cube. Not sure....

That's a good one

However my cube has a 2 fans (panaflo + GF3) so I wouldn't mind having a noisy modem.

yeah, the modem sound doesn't work on the cube in OSX. i think it has to do with the fact that there's no on-board sound circuitry to connect it to. OS9 must've done it through software, and that software mustn't exist in OSX.
