This has been a long overdue problem in my year old QuickSilver 733 and I have tried all posible ways except reinstalling system software because of the fact that whenever I insert a CD the drive ejects it automatically. This just happened suddenly. I do not think it is a hardware problem nor is the eject key stuck. I haven't tried using another CD drive yet. I was hoping you guys could help me out and offer some suggestiongs.

Notes:

- ejects on startup when gray screen with apple logo appears...
- i push the drive in and ejects again when the progress bar during startup is about to start....
- whenever i insert any CD it ejects it after 1 minute or so...

Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you.
