I'm asking because suddenly my stock Pioneer DVR105 superdrive stopped loading or playing cd's, both commercial and data,
and dvd's.
A call to Apple got me up and going again after following their instructions to reinitialize the mac firmware, then yesterday I tried to burn a couple of discs and got a
-2147352480 error, Apple knowledge base says this could be due to physical problems with the batch of blank discs although I've burt several succesfully before from the same batch.
I've also got this message (from memory sorry) after verification has finished "You have made a disc that contains files that OSX cannot read, do you wish to ignore and continue or eject", this is after burning a regular audio cd from itunes.
Coincidently the Apple G4 user conference is full of posts from people with superdrives that suddenly stopped working, and Tech Support gave me a resounding "hummm don'know about that" when I was on the phone...am I to believe that a Superdrive barely 3 months old can go down the tubes!?
Thanks
Doug
