Everytime Apple releases a new product, they have to screw in some way.

The new G5s look awesome in every aspect except one: the video card.

Why put only 64 MB video cards on such powerful and *expensive* computers? I don't f**king get it. 64 MB of VRAM is so pathetic. At the minimum, they should ship with 128 MB video cards.

Why do they do this everytime?

MacUser (to PC using friend): "Hey, I just bought a G5. I bet it'll kick your PC's ass."

PC User: "Really? Can you play Doom 3 with all the settings at max?"

Mac User: "Uh, no. I have to turn a few things down."

PC User: "How come? I can max everything out."

Mac User: "My G5 only has a 64 MB video card."

PC User: (laughs for 5 minutes solid) "64 MB? What a joke! My video card has 256 MB of VRAM. How much did you pay for your G5?"

What games and other things actually utilize all that VRAM? I don't think there are games out there yet that use 128 ro 256Megs of VRAM.

Get a grip dude. I just saw a test comparing 128MB and 256MB Radeon cards, and there was almost zero performance gain. I remember seeing the same results from 64MB vs. 128MB cards last year.

I'm not going to call an ambulance this time because then you won't learn anything.
