Em - just want to point out that asking a question in a new thread is a totally legitamate use of this message board (I'm an ex moderator, BTW), expecially when it pertains to a specific question.

I don't want to trawl through a massive thread in order to find the bits of information I need.

In any case, having a few overloaded threads is actually more detrimental to the BB performance than having lots of lightweight ones.

Have to agree, locking new threads is a bit annoying. I mean, I know I can scroll past 50 pages of an old thread, but this is much more comfortable.
