I need help in deciding what to do now that the new G5's have been announced. I currently own a Quicksiver 800 single processor. I have made the following upgrades: replaced the combo drive with the Pioneer AO5 Superdrive, replaced the IBM 40GB HD with a Western Digital 120GB Special Edition, upped the RAM to 1.25GB. I have several options:
1) upgrade the processor to a dual
2) Sell my computer as is with the upgrades
and purchase a 1.8Ghz G5
3) Remove the Superdrive, replace the combo
drive, sell my computer, order the 1.8 G5
with combo drive and use my Superdrive
as an upgrade.
The determining factor in my options has to do with what my present computer is worth, and is the difference in price between selling my computer and a 1.8 G5 worth it for my needs or should I upgrade my processor.
I use my computer mainly for audio database and photo editing. Thanks
