Guys I need help with this Powermac DP 1.25. I have added 2 Gigs or RAM, 160 Megs HD Maxtor, and a 2nd Display (15" LCD).

This is the problem that Im having: when I put the computer to sleep after one hour it turns off and ir order to turn it on again I have to unplug it from the electric outlet. The machine runs perfect it just has that problem that is driving me crazy. I have plug the computer in 3 different outlets and same result, I have disconeted all peripherals same result and I have taken the new RAM out and the extra HD.

If anybody has gone thru this situation and has a solution please help me out here.

Thanks

Nothing to do with this thread, but...

I wonder if you can get a discount from Apple if you bought before the 23rd.

Try using only one display at a time and see what happens.

You can also try restting your NNVRAM in Open Firmware. For some, that "fixed" sleep issues.

Sounds like a PMU issue. You can search Apple's KB for Power Manager Reset for the MDD and see what it recommends.
