A couple of days ago, I purchased a Powerlogix upgrade for my G4 Digital Audio PM (533 MHz single, 256 Meg, OS 10.2.6). Installation was fairly staightforward, the switch settings set for 7.5:1 per the instructions for 1 GHz. Startup attempts went like this: the dark grey apple with the little timer - halted, or grey screen and nothing, or a dialog box in english, japanese, etc. saying "You Need to Restart Your Computer" FF:FF:FF:FF:FF-. I've tried several methods of startup from power down cold start to PRAM reset start to warm reset with the front panel reset button and still get one of the lockups mentioned above. Each attempt (many) goes into the startup sequence for varying lengths of time; one might go 30 seconds until lockup, another 10 seconds. Once, I thought it might actually boot - nope. I've contacted the retailer who said that I needed a "case number" from Powerlogix to return the card. Two phone calls to Texas at my expense resulted in a total of about 30 minutes wait and still no cantact with a rep from PL. Anyone else have this experience?
