With SATA in the new G5s, will I be able to take my HD from my G4 and use it in my G5?

Probably not internally.

There are SATA to ATA adaptors available that can get your ATA drive working with a SATA buss. However there is not a lot of room in the G5 drive bay, so I don't think the ATA drive + the adaptor would physically fit.

However, you can always put your ATA drive in an external firewire case and use it wthout any problems.

The SuperDrive is on the ATA bus, so if you could find a super long cable you could put it on the same cable as the SuperDrive.
