Ok... weird lag problem w/ sleep activation on my QS 733...

Since the power button on mine is programmed to activate sleep rather than shut down the machine, I always use it. However in the last week or so its gone from instantly going into sleep after the button was pressed to having a 20-30 second lag before the systems begins to sleep.

Heat related (I'm in Boston w/o AC - temps 90ish)

Thanks!

Don't try to outweird me, I get stranger things than you free with my breakfast cereal.

I posted this in another MacInsomnia thread a short while ago. Seems relevant here.

I have a Quicksilver that will not sleep. No matter how I try to send it into the dream state, it springs right back. I use a wired mouse and have removed all USB peripherals!

About a year ago, the USB ports on my Studio Display stopped working. I wonder if there's a short somewhere in the display that's keeping my Quicksilver awake.

Weird.

Found a fix:

delete ALL preferance files

username/library/preferences

then reboot
