Just thought I'd let some people know.
Question: "Hi, I'm going to purchase a new processor from you guys, but I've
noticed that OWC has some of your upgrades listed as limited to stock on
hand. Will you be upgrading your product line soon? Thanks!"
Reply: " I apologize for the delay in getting back to you. The only new product
we will be introducing in the near future is a 1GHz board based on the
7455A processor. These boards will be tested at 1.2GHz, and will be
about $20 higher ($389) than the older boards OWC is (was?) selling on a
limited basis.
I will be speaking with OWC in the morning to update the information on
their site. The 1.2Ghz boards they have listed are gone, and the 1.4Ghz
boards need to be listed more clearly. We implemented some very thorough
testing for 1GHz+ boards a few weeks ago. This applies to all the 1GHz+
boards they currently have in stock, and will be including this in the
new descriptions.
