I'm looking to buy an eMac in the near future, i.e. end of the summer. Do you think Apple will bump the speeds on these for the back to school crowd? Or is it still too soon since the last upgrade.
It's NEVER easy!

They were just bumped in May, I doubt we'll see any changes for a few more months. You never know with Apple, but an upgrade before the fall would be very unusual.

The changes made in May were all big improvements; they now have a better video system, AirPort Extreme support and a 133MHz bus. They look like a pretty good value.

I'm hoping for an update to the eMacs in November; something like a 1.2GHz G4, DDR RAM, a 64MB graphics card, refresh rates of 85MHz+ with the two top most resolutions, and so on. Every six months or so seems to be the product cycle for other Apple products, but the eMacs weren't updated for a whole year after their introduction, so if nothing happens in November, you'll probably have to wait until May.
