I'm seriously considering a double deuce G5. It will be for video editing predominantly, namely one very intense project that I foresee taking up tons of disk space. Looking at the custom building page on Apple's website, the upgrade prices for HDs is actually really reasonable. For the upgrade from a single 160 GB drive to dual 250 GB drives they are charging $525 at the regular Apple Store, $472 at the education store, and $420 at the developer store. A 250 GB SATA drive at it's cheapest costs around $350 (I've seen them as low as $333 I think). Perhaps Apple has decided to stop reaming people on the upgrade costs. I think they stand to make more money this way anyways, because if its cheaper to have them provided and installed by Apple, then I'm going with buying the HDs from Apple.

Totally agree. The big 250's are a fair price. Yeah for Apple.
