Does anyone know where I can get a 56k modem for a 466MHz G4 tower?

I'm looking for either cheap or apple made, internal or external. Thanks for any help you can give.

Try eBay. You may be able to pick up an internal modem. If not, any v92 compliant modem should work.

Will any external modem work or do I have to make sure it is 10.2 compatible?

I don't think you can just slap any old modem in a G4 and expect it to work. Most modems these days are "winmodems" which need special software/drivers in order to run them.

Power Mac G4 (Digital Audio)

Apple parts number B661-2324:
Modem, 56K, V.90 w/o RJ11, Internal, Europe

Apple parts number 661-2324:
Modem, 56K, V.90 w/o RJ11, Internal, US / Asia

You can call AppleCare and tell them the part you want by the number

The G4 Cube modem doesn't work on your 466Mhz G4.

Yeah but who wants to pay $70 for an overpriced modem from Apple or one of it's resellers.

My $9.99 Modem in my extra PC has work fantastically and has voice capibilities.
