What's your prob?? My question is PowerMac related...how to use my PowerMac to format a PowerMac drive that can be read on a PC. You guys are a lil too quick on the lock button.
You think my topic; "how do I xfer files from from Mac to PC via hard drive?" topic belongs with such topics as:
"Spy Kids: The only 3D movie in eon"
"any Jane's Addiction fans in NYC?"
"Kobe charged with sexual assualt."
What the hell are you guys smoking?

Easy there. It seems most topics that deal with PCs get moved to the lounge, so it's not like they're just picking on you.

I don't mind being picked on...I just think it was a moronic thing to do. That post belongs here far more than it belongs in the lounge. I don't care if there is some sort of PC stigma.

exsilio, a couple of things to note:
1. Calling a mod, admin or any member of this forum a derogatory remark again will result in an immediate ban . . . understand?
2. Your thread was moved, not locked.
3. Read the post in question again. You never refer to your hard drive being that of a Power Mac, iMac, iBook, etc. Presumably your question relates to any Macintosh and your friend's PC, is not specific to this forum, and therefore was moved to the Lounge. As bradoesch correctly points out, this occurs for any and all posts of a similar nature.
I hope this helps clarify things.

Um, cube dude, how about you read my post again, the title in fact:
"how do I xfer files from from MAC to PC via hard drive?"
My post is specific to this forum far more than the lounge discussing Kobe Bryant and how he can't keep his lizard in his cage.
I just wanted help, not a hard time.

Belongs in either the OS X or OS 9 or Software forums not hardware, it's not a hardware question aside from the fact that you've got a hard drive. Now if you were asking what kind of one could hook up into both a PC and a Power mac that would be a power mac question.

Well Kevin,
Some of us geeks have to have a life.
And harmed? How harmed? You should take it as a compliment I brought my question to these forums. I trust you all...well most of you anyways <looks at SuperChicken>

On first read, I'd say lounge.
On clarification, it belongs in the software forum for the OS you are running.
And threads like this, well, that's what locks are for. It's been explained, now the thread dies.
Finally, watch your comments. If you have a complaint, voice it in a clear, polite manner.
