I think they removed the QT video stream. The video isn't found at http://www.apple.com/quicktime/qtv/mwsf02/.
As I recall, Steve didn't unveil the FP iMac—Time Canada did. Steve simply made the best out of it by inserting a slide of the cover and giving a copy of the issue to everyone in attendance that day.

What I'd really like to know is when the G5 iMac will be released. I'm bettin January 2004.
I wonder if they would ever introduce one with a 19" screen.
hmm...

Hmm, that date might be doable. A single G5. To be honest, I think Apple needs to release a Consumer G5 asap. Do consumers need this G5, well, maybe not, but since there is this preception for the need, Apple needs to respone to that for sales. I think a 1.6 would be a great start, by January. If anyone can pull it off it's Apple. I think you can hang up the 19" screen though, that's just crazy and definately stepping on the domain of the PwrMacs. Of course the PowerMacs will still be pretty new by then. We'll have to wait and see.

Actually, I would argue that Apple is one of the LAST companies to be able to meet customer expectations when they expect it (ie: shipping timelines on the original flat iMac and the 17" PB; and product updates for the 15" PB).
Then, there's the same issues surrounding G5ing the laptops. The iMac is, essentially, a not-very-portable laptop. Cooling inside the iMac is likely not much better than inside a laptop; it may possibly be worse since the square shape of a laptop offers more surface area for cooling than the round shape of the iMac. I suspect we will be seeing a G5 in the iMac around the same time as we a G5 in the PowerBook, right about when everyone wants a G6 ...
