why is a G4 heatsink so much larger ??

i have a B&W G3 350mhz and the heatsink is not half as large as the heatsink on my G4 533Mhz (single processor) i was just wondering why is it so much larger? can a G4 processor really be that much hotter? it isnt because of the case desing restricting airflow, the case design (other that the color) is the same.... i was just wondering

It tends to run hotter than a G3, but in your case I believe that the heatsink is used for both single and dual configuration. Hence the size.

The latest G4's (blue board) I got have different heatsinks tho.
with ribs as thin as smashed cokecans
