i quicktime video clip was made in imovie

the person who made the clip tried to burn the clip into dvd video format with idvd

that person says that idvd will not work with external dvd burns

is this true?

this person also tried using dvd studio pro to burn the video clip but also claims that dvd studio pro wants the video clip made by final cut and not imovie

is this true?

what programs can be used to get this quicktime video clip to dvd video format and onto a dvd-r?

It is true that iDVD will not burn to an external DVD burner. I can not speak to the rest however.

He should be able to import work done in iMovie... If it's Quicktime... maybe not, but if it's DV, then yes... it shouldn't be an issue.
