Is it possible to install slackware 9.1 on an iMac 600MHz Snow? I have a spare partition that I used to have OS 9 on, but since I am not using it anymore I thought that I could install Linux just for fun =)

I made a search but didn't seem to find anything...

You can put linux on your imac, although I am not sure about the specific distro. I don't think there is an official ppc slackware. You do, however, have many other options. Check out http://linuxppc.org (or .net, don't remember) and http://imaclinux.net.

As a replacement for slackware, may I suggest gentoo or debian ppc? Both are similar in ideals to slackware.

Before u go ahead you may want to check, no more than check, rather "research" the slackware site.

PS. When I installed SuSE it needed 3 partitions:

1 x HFS boot partition
1 x UFS Root partition (hold largest amount of files)
1 x UFS Swap partition
