If you go here Dabs.com

and click "more info" on the G5 it says:

"availability < 1 week"

A few days ago it said "1 - 2 weeks" - but then again it also listed the 1.8 and the Dual which now seem to have vanished.

(Not sure about that "superdrice" though)

Maybe the wheels are turning.....?

Dabs' estimates are generally wrong when it comes to Mac kit.

I've heard that Apple retail stores are doing a store reset this Friday to set up their G5 promotional materials. Take that for what you will.

I wouldn't expect some random UK mail order reseller that really doesn't sell Mac kit in any volume whatsoever to get them on the same day Apple does, but I guess we'll see in 1-2 days

Dabs are THE biggest online PC componenet vendor in the UK, bar none, their stock ratings ARE pretty acurate, but there not known for selling Mac stuff, so I guess well just have to wait and see!

My local Apple reseller mentioned today that he is expecting to have G5s in 7-10 days. Again, just for what it's worth.

They are still listing the PowerMac G4 1GHz in their product catalogue, for £1800, even though they list the 1.25GHz (which is actually still available) for about £1100. They're really not with it.

That's an old catalogue then. The 1Ghz G4 is on their website for £891.

No, I still see it on their website. Says 1-2 days for availability. For the PowerMac G4 the availability is: 28 1-3 days.

Anyone else notice this, although I think it's untrue......

Dabs.com (and several Dutch sites as well) lists the 1.6 and 1.8 machines to be upgradeable.
Shipping with one processor, able to hold two processors.

Could this be??

Now it has gone up to 3-4 days. As you can see, their estimates are just plain wrong.
