Umm, are you getting Popup's while browsing the web using a web browser (the only time this should happen on the Mac, unlike a PC) If so, use Safari, ther an option to switch off pop up's in the app's prefrences, as for the other stuff I know it can all be easily done, just check Apples web site.

Liking your new G4? I hope to get mine by next Wednesday!

First off, your 1st issue is one MANY switchers have, and in short, you can't. It's a thing a lot of Windows users have a problem with initially, but soon you'll actually prefer it that way. On all my PC's now I typically size the window DOWN so I can see what other things I have running in the background. If you have a decent sized monitor you'll appreiciate this feature after using it awhile.

Second, download the Camino Internet Browser and the first time a pop-up tries to appear, a message will come up asking you if you'd wish to block all pop-ups, select Yes, and you're good to go. That browser is MUCH better than IE and many like it more than Safari.

Third, ditch the Apple mouse ASAP; Apple still hasn't started using 2-button mice (nor scroll wheels) and it's insane. Pick up a Logitech MX500 which is fully compatible w/ Macs and you'll have the multiple assignable buttons + a scroll wheel, and it's extremely comfortable to use.

If you've got more Qs, just ask!

Oh yeah, your network Q...on your Windows PC, right click your main HD icon in My Computer, go to "Sharing..." and allow sharing. Now, on your Mac desktop just hit Cmnd (the key w/ the open Apple on it) and K at the same time, select your Windows PC from the network, then the Hard Drive you wish to mount. After it appears on your desktop, double click it, browse and drag any files you wish from the PC to the Mac.

Hey RiSE,
I was exactly in the same position two years ago.
I had only used PC's up to then & decided to give a Mac a try.

Definitely get either the Logitech MX500 or MX700(wireless).

Like me I'm sure you'll never look back, you'll want to ditch your PC!

Hi!

Some apps can be switched to fullscreen size by clicking the green + button while holding the alt key. This works with IE for me, but it doesn't seem to work with all apps, with Safari for example it doesn't.

Yeah. Two years ago I did the same thing, if you have used linux before be sure to check out the applications-> utilities folder.. you're bound to find tools in there you'll be using all the time a year or so down the line
