My cousin called me from college and said his QS power buton lights when pressed but turns off a few seconds later. Any ideas? Apple support had no specific article on this except to plug it into a different outlet...so I will have him try that.

Any ideas?

Thanks

So did you remove the battery before you pressed the button or leave it in?

I did NOT remove the battery. Maybe I should have, but I doubt it would have failed on me just because I replaced the power supply. For me, everything was working fine until I opened up the computer to replace the power supply. Perhaps your cousin should check if the battery is still good. Not sure what would happen if he were to reset the PMU with a bad battery (maybe nothing !).

Anyhow, good luck !
