Hi,

I'm going to be buying a 17" FP iMac and am wondering:

Would it be easy to notice the difference between getting 768 MB and 1 GB memory? How much faster would the iMac feel if I maxed out the memory?

My main concern is that I'd rather not go all the way in to the iMac to change out the stock 256 MB chip with a 512 MB; the second memory slot I don't fear dealing with.

I mostly use Mozilla, iTunes, Quicken, iPhoto, Toast. With the new iMac, I also hope to burn DVDs and eventually (when I have a video camera) make movies with iMovie.

Thanks for your help!

Chris

You won't see the difference, especially with any of the consumer apps! Don't worry about maxing it out.
Why is there always money for war, but none for education?
