I am planning on getting either one but which you you guys recommend. I will be doing audio and graphics on it. I am thinking about waiting on the new imac's but I will have to see.

Performance-wise they're about the same. It basically comes down to (1) can you afford an iMac and (2) is the LCD worth the extra cash to you?

If you can answer yes to these two, get the iMac. If not, the eMac is a nice machine too.

1 GHz eMac vs. 1 GHz iMac

The eMac is a bit faster. Otherwise, I'd get the iMac because of the widescreen LCD and higher resale value. Not to mention, it looks a lot cooler...
