My iMac order ship delayed...new iMacs alot sooner?

I placed an order for a 17" Imac online last week 8/20. First the Est. Ship date is 8/25. The 25th came and order status is still "open". I checked the status today and it has been to a ship date of 8/28. Should I cancel (can I?) this order and wait for the new one?

mine was delayed last week, but shipped. I opened my box, by the way.

Most dealers still seem to be fully stocked unlike the powerbook and we know how long that product line has been dry. I would just wait for it to come.

The word on the net is new iMacs in about 6-8 weeks.
A 3 day delay is nothing. A 3 week delay would be a better indicator.
Update: Paris Expo is September 16-20. New iMacs then?

I went ahead and cancelled the order. I would hate regretting buying an older iMac when they new ones will come soon. Sept is around the corner and I do not mind the wait  Plus the ADC discount will come in handy
