I have a B&W G3 PowerMac, and I'm looking to get a wireless card that supports the "G" standard. I'd like to get the linksys card, but I don't think there are drivers for it. Does anyone have experience with any wireless cards?

I use the LinkSys a/b/g PCI card. Just make sure that you're running the latest versions of the airport software before you install it.

Whoa. Which linksys card is this? And which airport software do you mean (the one on the base station or in the machine)?

Thanks in advance!

Cheers

Yeah. I didn't think there were drivers for Linksys cards. If I don't have the airport card or Airport extreme, would it still update the airport software? FYI, I'm using the linksys wap/router

For me, it's a matter of streaming video off my desktop to every other mac in the house. 802.11b on it, plus a g router and g cards in the other Macs, works, but is sometimes choppy.

I'm using the Linksys WMP54G PCI card in my B&W G3 with my Airport Extreme base station right now. Running Airport software version 3.1.1 on the desktop and software version 5.1.1 on the base station. Works like a charm.
