Just received 4 sticks of 512 meg. Corsair Xtreme Memory Speed (XMS) Low Latency screaming DDR 3200 for my G5, totaling 2 Gig. order status still says 'On or before 8/29'. Nothing like taking it down to the wire!

Ah, don't get your hopes up. I ordered the 1.6 G5 and I highly doubt it that it will be shipped tomorrow as my "estimated shipping date" predicts. I think our orders will be pushed back to 9/11.

Clearly the honor of the G5 has been besmirched!

The gauntlet has been thrown...

Shall we say "Pistols at Dawn?"

BTW, I have 2 sticks of Crucial memory waiting for my dual G5 to be delivered too.

Man, I guess I asked for that. I'm not getting my hopes up, actually, I'm counting on it NOT shipping, so if it does, I can be pleasantly pleased.

Hey, get your hopes up. My G5 shipped almost two weeks before my estimated ship date. Anything is possible.

I, on the other hand, have been constantly checking my order status page for the last two weeks. If Apple doesn't ship mine tomorrow I'm losing respect for them... maybe.

Well, just as I expected, I got bumped to 9/26. It's a little easier to handle since I played the pessimist. Still, it's hard not to get irked. Why the last possible minute? Apple must understand that people buy their computers to use them, and many for income purposes. I desperately need another mac for development purposes; I've limped along till now, and now I have some discisions to make. Life goes on, but I'm probably gonna have to give somebody at Apple an earful
