Hey Guys,

Rather than debate the aesthetics of the G5 & the mind set of the Apple designers, how about updates on everyones G5 orders? The G5's bound for Australia are built in Singapore and am told I'll have my DP G5 by the end of next week (but more likely, the week after).

I wouldn't hold your breath, my 1.8 hasn't shipped yet, even though Apple Australia appears to have charged me for it (the price of it disappeared from my Available balance last Friday, but not my Current balance).

No, my face isn't turning blue, not yet anyway. I think it will turn red before that though. Apparently, the first shipment are for demo units, debuting in stores on Tuesday, and the DP units shortly thereafter. I was orignally quoted mid August, then late August and now the 1st week in September for delivery.

Well, my Educational Institution order (K-12 in NYC) is still slated for OOB 9/2. It was always that date - never got bumped up to 8/29. Blah.
